A Message from TBR CEO – Megan Meyer Foos
Dear TBR Members –
I want to start by thanking you all for your patience as we continue to make changes to enhance the value we bring to our members. I know many of you had questions regarding our most recent billing and I appreciate you bringing your questions and concerns to our attention. I hope in the end, we were able to answer your questions and provide you with the level of service you deserve.
This is a very exciting time for the Toledo Board of REALTORS®. On September 25, 2014, the TBR Board of Directors voted to approve a merger with the Wood County Board of REALTORS®. The last step in the process is to have the general membership of both boards vote to approve the merger. Please join us at a special General Membership Meeting on October 15, 2014 at 9:00 AMto ask questions and vote on its approval.
Because of the merger, the Board of Directors also voted to change the name of the organization to better reflect our regional coverage. The new name, starting January 1, 2015 will be Toledo Regional Association of REALTORS®– TRAR. We have been working with different designers and will have a few different logo options for you to vote on at the same time you vote for TRAR Directors in November. The winning logo will be presented at the Annual Holiday Gathering on December 4th at One Seagate.
This year we have 6 seats on the Board of Directors up for election. The application on page 16 and on the TBR website and is due to me by October 24, 2014. I encourage you to give some serious thought about running. This is your opportunity to help set the direction of the Association.
Please mark your calendars for our Annual Holiday Gathering on December 4th in the theater of the One SeaGate Building. In addition to installing Penny Kice as the 2015 President, we will be welcoming the members of the Wood County Board of REALTORS®, rolling out our new logo and the Core Values that were developed by a special task force chaired by Mike Poulos.
Thank you again for your patience. We will continue to update you via the TBR website, Facebook page and daily email. As always, if you have any questions or concerns about anything happening at the board, please don’t hesitate to email me at email@example.com or call me at 419-535-3222.
