2023 REALTOR® of the YEAR

Candidate Eligibility Criteria:

  • Board/Association Activity – 35%
  • Background and REALTOR Spirit – 25%
  • Business Accomplishments – 20%
  • Civic Activity – 15%
  • State Association Activity – 5%

Nominations shall only be presented for Primary Association members of Northwest Ohio REALTORS who are in good standing and have been a Primary member of Northwest Ohio REALTORS or 12 consecutive months prior to nomination. Application may be presented by the nominee, REALTOR members or Affiliate members of Northwest Ohio REALTORS. Applications presented by non-members of the Association will not be considered.

REALTOR OF THE YEAR Selection – The President will appoint a selection committee of 7 REALTOR members (and the Chief Executive Officer who serves as a non-voting member) who are given each application and a score card. Each area of the application has been assigned a maximum number of points. Committee members will score each application and submit them to the CEO who will tally the score for each application prior to the selection committee’s meeting.

NOR INVOLVEMENT – 35%

Board offices and committee work, special assignments, education classes attended, events attended, RPAC contributions.

REALTOR SPIRIT – 25%

High principles, faithfulness to laws and regulations of the Code of Ethics and NOR, and furtherance of principles of good real estate practices among other REALTORS and the general public.. Past REALTOR accomplishments should be included in this section (i.e., Education, Licenses Held, Designations, Military Service and Awards, Leadership Training, Political Advocacy, Awards Received, General Realtor Spirit).

BUSINESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS – 20%

Recognized good business conduct, service to clients, imaginative and creative advertising programs, rehabilitation work (past professional accomplishments should be included in this section).

CIVIC AFFAIRS ACTIVITY – 15%

Participation in civic and service clubs; charitable activities, political commissions or committees, fraternal or religious groups, etc.

STATE ASSOCIATION ACTIVITY – 5%

Offices held and committee work, attendance and participation in State Conventions and meetings.
