WHY DO YOU WANT TO SERVE AS A DIRECTOR?

I am writing to express my interest in serving as a NOR Director. With a comprehensive background in the real estate industry, extensive leadership experience, and a strong commitment to promoting best practices within our profession, I believe I would be a valuable asset to the board.

I have been actively involved in the commercial real estate Office sector for 15 years, working as a Senior Vice President with the Reichle Klein Group, where I gained a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our market today. Throughout my career, I have constantly demonstrated a passion for improving the standards of my area of focus, advocating for the interest of both real estate professionals and clients, as well as staying at the forefront of regulatory changes that shape the local, regional, and national markets.

In addition to my professional experience, I have served in leadership roles within several industry organizations, including Past President of NOR, where I refined skills in strategic planning, governance, and stakeholder engagement. I believe these experiences have equipped me with the ability to provide value and make informed decisions that align with the best interests of the organization.

I am extremely excited about the possibility of once again contributing to the continued success and growth of the collective membership. Selfishly I am also excited at the opportunity to once again submit commercial reports.

FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT EXPERIENCE

From lease administration, to pro forma creation/review, to fielding RFP (Request for Proposal) responses, financial oversight is paramount throughout our day to day.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS EXPERIENCE

My team has been part of several GSA (Government Services Administration) renewals throughout the region.
We maintain good working relationships with City and State Economic Development, and City Council members when applicable.

I have extensive experience in public speaking and formal presentations.

STRATEGIC PLANNING EXPERIENCE

I have 18 years of strategic planning experience. I have led multiple strategic planning initiatives as market trends have shifted.
I have experience in the creation of annual business plans, identifying key market opportunities, and analyzing competitive landscapes.

TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE

Keeping pace with emerging technologies has been challenging for me in recent years. I am often mocked by my younger and brighter counterparts for my incessant use of spreadsheets. Having said that, we are now utilizing AI with regard to social media, marketing campaigns, tenant prospecting, drip marketing, etc. I believe my willingness to learn and adapt to new platforms exceeds my technological handicap as a Gen X.

REAL ESTATE TRENDS EXPERIENCE

I follow local, state, and national real estate trends with a focus on Office, but not to the exclusion of Industrial, Retail, and multi-family.
Additionally, I have 15 years of experience gathering hard market data as part of semiannual market reports.
