Describe current and past community involvement:
Eddie has been a member of the Maumee Chamber of Commerce since 2006 where he has served as the president twice and has been a board member for 10 years. He is also a board member of the Panther Pride Foundation (Maumee City Schools capital campaign), has been involved with the Maumee City Planning Commission for two years and is an active member of the Maumee Athletic Boosters.
Financial Oversight Experience:
As he is a part of the executive committee of the Maumee Chamber of Commerce, Eddie has been a part of monthly meetings with the director, treasurer and accountant to discuss and manage the finances of the chamber.
Government Affairs Experience:
Eddie has taken an active role as advisor to Maumee Mayor Rich Carr in his re-election campaign.
Communications Experience:
In all the positions Eddie has held in his community, he has been involved in creating and delivering messages through public speaking, videos and social media.
Strategic Planning Experience:
As an executive committee member of the Maumee Chamber of Commerce, Eddie is a part of the creation and implementation of their strategic plan through their yearly retreat, monthly board meetings and executive committee meetings.
Technology Experience:
Through RE/MAX and other brokers, Eddie has recognized the latest trends in technology in real estate which allows him to bring the latest trends to his business and clients. Products such as BombBomb, Dotloop, Adwex and virtual assistants have allowed him to use the latest product availability and give him a competitive advantage in the industry.
Real Estate Trends Experience:
Eddie has actively stayed in tune with current real estate trends through publications such as Inman News, RE/MAX monthly/yearly updates, as well as OR and NAR news outlets via social media and e-mail campaigns. During the pandemic, Eddie also obtained his SRS and ABR accreditations.
Leadership Experience:
Eddie has embraced leadership opportunities in all of the volunteer positions that he has served on – from president to committee chair.
Why does Eddie wish to be a Director:
The current Board of Directors has been impressive in their achievements on a state and local level. Eddie would like to utilize his experience as a Realtor, community volunteer and leader to further the growth opportunities for the real estate profession on a local, state and national level.
