Describe current and past community involvement: 
Kent is involved with Habitat for Humanity and has worked on several builds as well as at the Restore in Findlay, OH. He is active in West Independance United Methodist Church (Fostoria, OH) and served on Liberty-Benton Board of Education for eight years.

Financial Oversight Experience:
Kent worked with a multi-million dollar budget while serving on the school board. He is currently serving on Ohio Realtors Finance Committee and has previously chaired the Finance Committee for Heartland Board of Realtors®.

Government Affairs Experience: 
Kent has served on Heartland Board RPAC committee for several years.

Communications Experience:
As president of the Heartland Board, Kent was the person responsible for communication with the local newspaper.

Strategic Planning Experience: 
Kent served on the Strategic Planning Committee for the Heartland Board.

Technology Experience:
Kent has been an ePRO Certified Internet Specialist since 2009. He likes staying current on new technology that improves the real estate industry.

Real Estate Trends Experience:
Currently, Kent holds seven real estate designations and certifications. The continuing education received while earning these has proven to be very valuable and keeps him on top of real estate trends.

Leadership Experience:
Kent served as President of the Heartland Board in 2017 as well as the OR District 2 Vice-President from 2019-2020. Kent is also the President of Liberty Benton Board of Education – a position he has held for three years.

Why does Kent wish to be a Director:
Kent has always had the belief that you get out what you put in. That has been true of every organization that he has been involved with. He likes to be pro-active rather than re-active and serving on the BOD would be an opportunity to make his contribution.
